KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 31 Displaying Jalur Gemilang stickers on the face is one way of showing one's patriotism and love for the country according to Nur Izzati Ayuni, 14.
"I'm very happy and excited to participate in the Independence Day celebrations here, together with the people of this country," she told Bernama at the 57th Independence Day celebrations at Dataran Merdeka here today.
The Form Two student from SMK Desa Perdana, Kuala Lumpur, never missed an opportunity to participate in the National Day celebrations at Merdeka Square in recent years.
"I will come to the square every year with my parents to watch the national day celebrations. But this year my parents gave me permission to come with my friends," she said.
According to Nur Izzati, each sticker can be purchased for RM1 around Merdeka Square and can be stuck to parts of the body such as the face and hands.
